The Clara Bagdadi village in Mpumalanga has been in the midst of a long-running water crisis with the community’s only water sources coming from polluted streams and ponds.
In November 2024, Betway Africa, through the Betway Cares Foundation, and in conjunction with Innovation Africa, developed and provided a solar-powered water system for the village that can serve 4,700 residents.
