DigiOutreach goes All in for Breast Cancer Awareness

DigiOutreach proudly partnered with Project Flamingo during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment. By partnering with Project Flamingo for the second year, we continued to help improve access to care and provide hope to those facing one of life’s most difficult challenges.

Established in 2010, Project Flamingo works alongside public healthcare institutions to reduce waiting times for breast cancer surgery and provide services that support patients throughout their treatment. Through close collaboration with healthcare professionals, the organization helps ensure that individuals receive timely medical care and access to resources that enhance their overall wellbeing.

Supporting patients beyond treatment
Through a contribution of R100 000, DigiOutreach will help fund breast cancer surgeries, patient support initiatives, pamper packs and psychotherapy sessions for individuals undergoing treatment. These services play a significant role in supporting both the physical and emotional wellbeing of patients, helping them navigate treatment with dignity, comfort and care.

A Wall of Hope
As part of this year’s global Think pink campaign, DigiOutreach created a Wall of Hope; inviting colleagues to share messages of encouragement, strength and positivity on sticky notes. These heartfelt messages are intended for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other therapies, offering reassurance and motivation during a challenging time.

The Wall of Hope is a powerful reminder that no one faces cancer alone. Filled with messages of encouragement, strength and compassion from our people, it aims to bring comfort and motivation to those undergoing treatment. At the close of the campaign, the Wall of Hope will be donated to the Groote Schuur Breast Clinic, extending these messages of support to patients and their families when they need them most.

Creating impact through collective action
By going All in, we continue to demonstrate how acts of generosity, compassion and community can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
