As part of the launch of Super Group Cares earlier this year, our Betway Africa colleagues were given the opportunity to help decide where our first major community contribution would go. MES won the vote and on Thursday 27 August, we proudly handed over of R110,000 to this incredible organization.
The cheque handover marks an important milestone in our Super Group Cares journey and demonstrates the power of coming together to make a meaningful difference in the communities around us.
Based in Johannesburg’s inner city, MES supports vulnerable individuals to build brighter futures. Through a range of programmes, the organization supports young adults navigating life, with all its ups and downs, and helps people experiencing homelessness regain stability, dignity and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Beyond supporting individuals, MES also plays a key role in revitalizing parts of Hillbrow, an area that has faced years of neglect and socio-economic challenges. Through community development initiatives, skills programmes and social support services, MES is helping create safer, cleaner and more vibrant spaces while empowering people to become active contributors to their communities.
This donation is more than a cheque handover: it’s a reflection of what can be achieved when we go All in together.
