From presence to purpose, Super Group visit to Lagos

Understanding a market like Lagos starts on the ground. That was the focus of a recent executive visit, where a cross-functional group of leaders from Super Group – including Neal Menashe, CEO; Kirsty Ross, Chief of Staff; Jason Kramer, Chief Operating Officer; Nkem Ojougboh, Head of Investor Relations; Jolade Adeoye, Country Manager; and John Steinkeller, Investment Banking Vice President – came together to see what makes Nigeria so unique.

Why Lagos, why now?
Nigeria is one of the largest and most dynamic gaming markets in Africa – and a clear priority for Super Group going forward. But it’s also a market that operates differently. The only way to understand it is to be in it; walking the streets, seeing the community intricacies, stepping inside betting spaces and engaging directly with the people that shape it.

From exploring local hubs to experiencing the wider ecosystem first-hand, the visit was focused on building a clearer, more grounded view of the opportunity ahead.

Beyond the market
Alongside market insights, the visit also created a valuable opportunity to give back. Super Group partnered with the Uncle Sele Foundation to support the community of Makoko.

Neal Menashe, Super Group CEO, said: “To understand a market like Nigeria, you have to experience it first-hand. Being on the ground gives us a much clearer view of both the opportunity and the responsibility that comes with it. That balance is key to how we approach growth at Super Group.”
